PLEXIGLAS® SHEET BUILDING CODE INFORMATION:

Pursuant to Administrative Code Section 27-131, the following equipment or material has been found acceptable for use in accordance with the Report of the Material and Equipment Acceptance (MEA) Division.

Description
Plexiglas® MC acrylic sheet material in thicknesses ranging from 0.098" to 0.354". The material is intended for use as glazing and sign material where slow burning plastic is allowed for use by the Building Code. The material is available in clear, translucent or opaque form with or without colors.

Recommendation
That the above described plastic material be accepted as complying with Code requirements for slow burning plastic for use as glazing and/or sign where allowed by the Code. All shipments and deliveries of such material shall be provided with a certificate or label certifying that the material shipped or delivered is equivalent to that tested and acceptable for use, as provided for in Section 27-131 of the Building Code.
